Vitamin A, C, and AHA/BHAs
Are you under the impression that you should stop using your active skincare ingredients such as vitamins A and C and AHA/BHAs during the summer months?  Think again. The photo on left is Dr. Biggerstaff’s hand with 4 weeks of skincare treatment along with her derma roller, and the photo on right is her hand without any skincare products other than sunscreen. Beautiful results! This just shows consistent skincare with the right active ingredients truly does work! Dr. Biggerstaff stays active outside all year round whether she is playing golf with her husband on Saturday morning (she wears gloves on both hands while golfing) or having a one-on-one match of basketball with her daughter. No matter what time of year it is, she is safely treating and protecting her skin with these amazing antioxidants and, of course, SUNSCREEN!

We carry an amazing line of Vitamin A products by Envrion skincare that also contain other antioxidants such as Vitamins C and E to brighten the skin and protect it from environmental damage. Environ has their amazing Step Up System to slowly acclimate your skin to vitamin A in an ester form to avoid the irritation that people often associate with topical Vitamin A products. These ester forms can be applied morning and evening, so your skin is replenished with Vitamin A appropriately. Also, while using these ingredients and even if you are not using these active ingredients, sunscreen is extremely important! Reapply every 2 hours when you are out in the sun for more than 2 hours at a time. Please, please, please take sunscreen seriously! Consider finding a stylish floppy hat or purchasing mineral makeup to protect your skin from the sun along with your consistent sunscreen application. Please call us here at Ageless in the Triad Med Spa for product orders, and we can bring it out to your car when you arrive to pick it up. See you soon!
